1. Job Responsibilities
This position will reside in the IMS China Beijing office. Provide expertise in analytic methodologies to assigned projects for IMS US Statistical Studies and provide ongoing analytic support for existing US Pharmaceutical Market Research Studies.
This position will provide statistical methodology support to deliver custom studies. Applies statistical design and methodology to meet client information needs, conducts statistical analyses to derive conclusions from the study and prepare written summaries of study results or the final delivery. Can coach juniorstatistician on key methodologies, performing statistical analysis, and preparing analysis plans and statistical reports. Proactively identifies/raises visibility to potential challenges, formulates clear logical approach to resolve the issues. Understands client’s business needs well and makes recommendations on the most appropriate analytical approach. Independently writes clear, well structured documents for internal or external use
2. Jobholder’s Requirements
Typically requires a Master’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Economics, or related quantitative science degree with 2+ years of relevant professional business experience in market research, or applied statistics. Or a Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of working experience.
Statistical knowledge includes understanding of multivariate statistics, sampling methods, regression and forecasting.
Applied experience with SAS, R/S-plus, SPSS or a structured programming language is required. Good Excel and VBA skills are a plus
Proficient in oral and written English: English Test Scores passing CET-6. Must be proficient in MS Office.; |
